As the world is changing and becoming more conscious of environmental implications, electric vans are starting to become more popular. Although electric vans have a range of different benefits including saving the planet, spending less on running costs and improving company image – how much road tax should you expect to pay if you opt for an electric van?

Take a look at our guide on how much road tax you pay for electric vans, as well as what vans to look out for in 2022!

How Much Road Tax Can I Expect to Pay?

Road tax is usually dependent on a number of different factors, including CO2 emissions, its power train and the intended use. Some good news for electric van road tax is that there is no road tax. This incentive has been added by the Government in the hope that more van users will opt for an electric vehicle. Other incentives, as well as no road tax, can include free parking in certain areas and exemption from London Congestion Charge too!

However, it is important to recognise that this does not apply to hybrid and plug-in hybrid vans. Instead, they still have to pay the annual £275 fee. This road tax exemption might not last forever though, as electric vans are likely to become more prevalent on our roads.
