Vehicle Review: Ford Transit Custom Limited

March 23rd, 2021

The Ford Transit Custom has been a success from the minute it was launched. Proudly claiming the title of the best-selling van in the UK, the Ford Transit Custom has only been around since 2012 – but in that time, it’s made a huge impression in the mid-size van industry.

With each generation, the Ford Transit Custom becomes more and more luxurious. While the Transit originally offered just two trim levels, there are now four available – and knowing which one is best suited to your needs is key. These days, it’s not just enough to know the difference between models; it’s important to know the difference between the trims too. .

At Van Sales UK, we understand that working out what each version of a van includes can be overwhelming. For example, how do you know the difference between a Transit Custom ‘Trend’ and a Transit Custom ‘Limited’? With a choice of four trim levels – Base, Trend, Limited and Sport – there’s a lot of options available. Depending on which trim level you opt for, you’ll notice some refined changes.

Below, we’ve put together a quick vehicle review of the Ford Transit Custom Limited and what you need to know.

Ford Transit Custom Limited

Drivers often describe the Limited as having a premium feel to it. With the exception of Sport, the Limited is Ford’s top-end specification. It features a chrome skirting around the grille along with body coloured mouldings, bumpers, handles and mirrors, as well as 16 inch alloy wheels – so you could say it’s a good-looking van to say the least.

Equipped with the powerful Euro6, 2.0-litre, EcoBlue Diesel engine, the Ford Transit Custom has plenty of power and is a pleasure to drive. Described as the ultimate stylish workhorse, it can carry a weighty 850kg – and it’s safe to say that the Transit Custom is both comfortable and functional. With a big windscreen and secondary headlights, it seems the Custom was built with convenience in mind.

What features are added with the Limited?

The Limited specification includes Air Con, parking sensors, cruise, DAB radio, Bluetooth and extended under passenger seat storage length as standard. In addition, if you treat yourself to the Limited trim, you’ll also benefit from USB connectivity, remote audio controls, four front speakers and a dual front passenger seat which transforms into a fold-out table.

If that’s not enough, you’ll also be pleased to know that the Limited features heated front seats for those frosty mornings, front passenger’s airbag with a deactivation switch and a load area protection kit.
