Vehicle Review: The All-New Maxus Deliver 9

maxus deliver 9
November 30th, 2021

The established brand LDV is no more and firmly rebranded in the UK and Europe as Maxus under the parent company SAIC. The Maxus Deliver 9 vans are the first large van in the new van range.

Similar to the highly popular Ford Transit, this large panel van is exceptional. Why is it so popular? Let’s get into it…

Driving Experience

The Deliver 9 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel unit that outputs 163PS through a 6-speed manual gearbox. More often than not it comes in front-wheel drive, but the biggest vans get a rear-wheel-drive option as well. Electric power steering is standard across the range.

All diesel variants are Euro 6d compliant for high efficiency, so operating in clean air zones and ultra-low emission zones will not be a problem. There is even an electric version available, the Maxus e Deliver 9 electric van. Regardless of engines, all of the Deliver 9 represents the best of the Maxus brand with their 5-year 125,000-mile warranty.

Interior & Technology

Opt for the luxury spec and when you go beyond the exterior and LED headlights, you’ll see a luxurious interior. A touchscreen-enabled radio system with DAB and Bluetooth, blind-spot monitoring as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all available as standard with the luxury package. You will also have keyless entry for added ease.

Nowadays everyone asks for air conditioning, cruise control, and parking sensors, and the Maxus has it all. As well as a comfortable, modern interior with plenty of adjustment so you can experience absolute comfort. Adding to the convenience factory are heated mirrors, which are a welcome addition for the UK winters.

There’s also lots of storage available in the cab of the Maxus Deliver 9, something a lot of modern-day vans lack. You’ll find the glove box and deep storage space in the doors for bottles. There’s even storage under the passenger bench seat. And there are a couple of cup holders within easy reach.

Exterior & Van Range

The Maxus Deliver 9 panel gives you a choice of three body lengths and three body heights, including the long-wheelbase high roof which is most asked for. The largest options can have either front or rear-wheel drive. Other than the largest vans, you’ll be looking at a front-wheel-drive model.

Also, there are 2 chassis cab lengths available which cover your need for tippers, dropsides, and luton vans.

There are also 5 paint options to choose from. The free option is Blanc White which comes as standard, or you can choose Olive Brown, Ocean Blue, Aurora Silver, or Obsidian Black. All optional paints are metallic, and all paints including standard Blank White come with a 3-year paint warranty and 10-year anti-corrosion warranty.

The Maxus Deliver 9 is not only practical, heavy-duty, and all set up for simple loading with 8 heavy-duty lashing rings to secure heavy loads. The Deliver 9 is made to stand the test of time, and without a doubt, this is something that everyone will want from their new van!
