Small Van Review: The New Citroen Berlingo Enterprise

November 4th, 2021

Today we’re going to talk about the new Citroen Berlingo Enterprise, built by the PSA group. The Berlingo has sister vehicles which are the Peugeot Partner and the Vauxhall Combo, which look and feel almost identical, except for the price which is where the latest generation Berlingo wins.

Under the bonnet you have 3 efficient engines; a 1.2 petrol engine, a 1.5 BlueHDI diesel engine, and a fully electric version. However, the diesel 75PS variant with the manual gearbox is by far the most popular for the moment.

Moving around the outside of the van, the new Citroen Berlingo Enterprise comes with front fog lights, 15″ steel wheels with wheel trims, and a single side loading door. The rear doors come with a 60/40 split, and open all the way out to 180 degrees. And, you have rear parking sensors.

The Small 3 Seater Van With Lots Of Storage Space

In the back of the Medium length van, in the real world, you get a useable 1.7m load length at the floor level. The bulkhead does tilt back into the storage space of the van, which means at the top, you lose around 20cm of load length. But, the Berlingo does have a party trick.

You have a load-through hatch in the bulkhead which opens to the back of the passenger seat. Then, you can fold the passenger seat flat which means you have a 3m load length. The middle seat does not fold, so you will still be able to carry a passenger.

The new Citroen Berlingo has 3 length versions available in total, the XS, M, and XL. By far the M is our most popular seller due to its balance of load space and practicality. When you’re buying a small 3 seater van, you want it to actually be small, right?

In the front you have a 1+2 seat configuration, however, the middle seat is a bit cramped for an adult. You can carry 3 people legally, but bear in mind it may become cosey!

What Technology Does The Citroen Berlingo Enterprise Have

The Enterprise model is not quite the top-spec model with the Driver sitting above, but it does have everything you need. You have air conditioning, a touchscreen with technologies including DAB, Bluetooth connectivity technology, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, plus you have cruise control driving aid for ultimate comfort. The new Citroen Berlingo Enterprise does not come with Citroën Connect nav, however, this is overcome with the mirror screen facility using Apple Carplay or Android Auto.

For all of the features this small 3 seater van comes with, it is very competitively priced in the market. And, it comes with Citroen’s 3-year 100,000-mile warranty and 1-year breakdown cover. With all vans that we sell, free UK delivery is included, as well as a range of finance options for those not looking for outright purchase.
